Our weekly breakfast and afternoon snack are carefully planned to follow the Canadian Food Guide to promote Child Care Nutrition. Each menu is designed to provide a wide variety of nutritious foods that are different in colour, shape, size and texture. Breakfast and snacks are adapted to incorporate fresh in-season produce and rotated on a seasonal basis to provide the children with a balance of variety and familiarity. Every three months, we will review our choices of meals to ensure they are fit for our curriculum.

Early childhood is the time that little ones develop social skills that will carry them through the rest of their lives. The toddler, pre-k, kindergarten, and elementary students all learn critical social information that helps them interact with others, build relationships, and become a good citizen.

Socialization is tied in with many types of development. With behaviour in the classroom impacting the way a child learns. Emotional self-regulation and action depend upon a child’s ability to recognize appropriate social cues and adjust to meet the needs of each social setting.

Parents are welcome to participate in the Superheroes Daycare and to get involved in activities such as field trips, special events, information sharing or discussions regarding children’s progress. Our teachers and supervisors can be arranged to meet with parents with any questions or concerns. Books and toys donation would be appreciated.

A suggestion box is open to all parents for input on our policy revision and development. Inputs can also be made directly by talking to our program director or putting proposals and suggestions in our monthly survey. Our program is designed based on physical activity we focus on emotional development, collaboration, communication, social and cognitive skills in our curriculum set up. Individual learning plans are implemented into student projects to challenge our students in meaningful ways. They continue to build on concepts in literacy, mathematics and science through creative arts and hands-on activities.
